Why Is Water Dripping Behind My Gutters?

Water dripping between a gutter and the house may indicate that rain is passing behind the gutter instead of entering it normally. Possible explanations include an overflowing gutter, a loose gutter, an incorrect roof-edge detail, deteriorated fascia or water traveling from another part of the roof. The visible drip does not always identify the original entry point.
